Dressing up in costumes of the time, they begin their adventure by finding out what the Industrial Revolution was and why it is so important. Granny Cath and Lucy find out about a girl called Alice who lived on a canal boat. They discover where all the family would sleep, how Alice would learn and how a canal boat could travel up and down hills!
